Apricot marmelade nut pinwheels

Easy to make and very delicious.I used apricot but you may use any marmelade...

12-15 pieces.

80 gr butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup apricot marmelade (or you may use any marmelade)
3/4 cup nuts 


In a large bowl cream, butter and sugar until light anf fluffy.Beat in egg and vanilla.Combine flour and baking powder .Gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Roll out the dough between waxed paper into a square.Remove top piece of waxed paper.Spread dough with jam and sprinkle with nuts.Roll up tightly jelly -roll style ;wrap in plastic wrap.Chill for 20 minutes or until firm.

Unwrap the dough and cut into 1/4 inch slices.Place them on baking sheets.Bake 10-15 minutes until edges are lightly browned.Remove to wire racks to cool.
